How to price your items with DripAI™

Pricing is the hardest part of selling. Price too high and your item sits for weeks. Price too low and you leave money on the table. DripAI™ takes the guesswork out of it by analysing thousands of completed sales to suggest a price range tailored to your specific item.

How DripAI™ works

When you create a listing, DripAI™ looks at:

  • Brand and model — what similar items have actually sold for, not just what they're listed at
  • Condition — a "Like New" item commands a different price than "Used"
  • Size — common sizes sell faster and often at slightly higher prices; rare sizes may need a discount
  • Category trends — some categories heat up seasonally (e.g., jackets in autumn, shorts in spring)
  • Recent sale velocity — if similar items are selling quickly, the suggested price rises

The result is a recommended price range — usually a £5–£15 window — with a "sweet spot" price that balances speed and value.

Using the suggestion effectively

The AI suggestion is a starting point, not a mandate. Here's how to get the most from it:

1. Start at the sweet spot. If DripAI™ suggests £35–£42 with a sweet spot of £38, list at £38. You can always accept offers below this.

2. Enable "Accepts Offers." Most buyers will make an offer. Setting your list price slightly above your target gives you room to negotiate while still getting the price you want.

3. Watch the first week. If you haven't had an offer or a like within 7 days, drop the price by 10%. DripAI™ will recalculate based on the new price point.

4. Don't anchor too high. Some sellers list high "just in case" and plan to drop later. This backfires — items that sit for weeks develop a "stale" reputation. Price right from the start.

When to hold firm vs. accept an offer

  • Accept quickly if the offer is within 10% of your target — the buyer is serious, and a fast sale beats a long wait
  • Counter-offer if the offer is 10–20% below — most buyers expect a negotiation
  • Hold firm if you've had multiple likes or watchers — demand is building, and a better offer may come

The bottom line

Sellers who follow DripAI™ pricing suggestions sell their items 40% faster on average. The data doesn't replace your judgement, but it gives you a solid foundation to start from. Trust the numbers, stay flexible, and adjust based on real buyer behaviour.
